I'm glad to announce that I'm now officially a trustee for The Foyer Federation! I'm so excited to learn about the governance of a charity and implement the skills to my own work and business ventures.
Feel free to read in the blog post below why I decided to apply and what I hope to achieve during my time on the board: https://www.foyer.net/articles/the-foyer-federation-welcomes-dami-adeyemi-to-the-board-of-trustees
Less than 3% of charity trustees are under 30 and as we see a progression towards diversity in all sectors, this not only includes race, gender and disabilities, but age too.
Intergenerational perspectives enable better decision making and I'd encourage anyone interested to get involved. You can search for opportunities on Young Trustees Movement
